Zeiss Winkel Spectroscope Instrument w Holder & Lab Stand 1940s

Description: I have up for sale a nice vintage original circa 1940 - 1957 Zeiss Winkel Germany Spectrometer along with its holder part and lab stand. The Zeiss Winkel name was used from c1940 until 1957 after which time the company was called Carl Zeiss..This is a prism spectoscope and was used to spectorally analyze the light passing through microscopic specimens. The long tube houses a prism that disperses the incoming light into a color spectrum. The ring at the end adjusts the entrance slit that regulates the amount of light in and the 'sharpness' of the spectra. The small tube has a wavelength reticle in it. The spectroscope itself has serial number 159584 . It can be easily removed from the holder part and then can also be removed from the base unit to be used in a Hand Held manner. The base unit has a diameter of approx 4-3/4" , it is bottom stamped but I can not make out what it says. The stand stands approx 10-1/4" . The entire thing weighs 3 lb 9 ounces. The spectrometer itself measures 3-3/4" . There are a few of theses hand held Zeiss spectroscopes on ebay but I don't see any other holders or any lab stands such as this. When I package I will take out the glass on the table / tray part . It sits in the metal ring loose so it will be taken out and bubble wrapped for protection. I will package with care and ship fully insured. The parcel will require a Signature Confirmation for acceptance . So you will have to watch the tracking and be home to sign for. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. IN THE RARE EVENT YOU RECEIVED THE ITEM AND IT IS DAMAGED -CONTACT ME ASAP - KEEP THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING MATERIALS JUST AS THE ITEM ARRIVED AS THEY WOULD BE NEEDED TO HELP PROCESS THE INSURANCE CLAIM. YOU WOULD BE REQUIRED TO HELP WITH THE INSURANCE CLAIM . SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING ,PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX , AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. WITHOUT THESE PICS, YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND IF I CAN NOT PROCESS THE CLAIM - YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. I PACKAGE TO THE VERY BEST OF MY ABILITIES BUT SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN THAT ARE OUT OF OUR CONTROL.
