Condition: The the surface of the dog image is crackled, one of the young lady 'Rose Willetts' is cracked in the corner, some surface scratching, tarnishing and wear to some. Overall very good condition. Wear commensurate with age and use. Notes: A very interesting group of sixteen ninth plate ambrotypes, which I think possibly all belong to the same family. The image of the young lady has the name 'Rose Willetts' inscribed to the back, some others with just 'Rose' and one with just 'Willetts', there is only one other of the lady wearing a bonnet that is inscribed 'Mary Flower'. The image of the dog standing on its hind legs while holding out a paw is particularly great!
