Description: Listed is a WWI U.S. Army 89th Division "Rolling W" Helmet. I would Say this in good condition Considering it's age. Over time, it lost the Inner Liner, but the emblems are still legible easily. I received this Helmet and other items from from my Grandfather when he was 75 years old years after serving in the Army during that period. He Served from 1917 to 1919 in Company C in the353rd Infantry of 89th Division under General Pershing, sometimes called Black Jack, in Germany. He Fought in the Battles of Saint-Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne Offensive, German Spring Offensive and others up to the German Armistice. He fought many more that I can't list. My Grandfather was Gassed when fighting at the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. He received $7.00 per Month for that for many years. His name was Raymond Orville Partridge/Burbank, Calif.I'm a Year from that Age of 75 and have Three Adult Sons that Just Don't seem to Have any Interest for These Items. I'm Listing all of the WWI items I Received, here on Ebay. I have seen some good quality HELMET liners and chin straps on the internet. I just added this Photo of My Grandfather when he was younger and in the Army, I'm sorry, but the photo is not for sale as I like looking at him as I'm still Proud of Him.
