Description: Gorgeous all original US Marines or Army M1 helmet. I took a picture inside the helmet that is dated 1956. I know other people take the camouflage cover off the helmet but I don't know how to do that nor do I want to rip this helmet material. Inside the helmet is an additional piece of string. I'm not sure what that's for. The helmet has been in storage and has some cobwebs and normal storage dust. The helmet weighs approximately 3 pounds 4 ounces. I found an identical helmet on Ebay which just sold for $600 with over 30 bids which is how I found out what this helmet possibly is. That auction number is 203012970676 so you can compare. I'm not a war relic expert so please review all pictures. I did show this to a neighbor and his jaw dropped. He said this was in excellent condition and he wanted it. I told him to check Ebay because I want it to go to a good home. Please email me with any questions. I probably won't be able to answer them as I acquired this at an estate sale. I can say there was a lot of bids on this item!!!
