A black and white photograph depicting a team of horses pulling a plow in a farm field, with a man identified as a farmer operating the plow. The setting appears rural, with a few distant houses visible in the background. The caption below the image reads "A FRENCH TEAM," suggesting this scene is from France. During World War I, many soldiers and airmen took photographs capturing life in and around their camps. This image likely represents the agricultural work that was essential during the war, providing food for both soldiers and civilians. The integration of old-world farming practices within a war context adds depth to the narrative of the era, reflecting on the reliance on traditional farming methods alongside emerging technologies.
