Description: ***********Although the automatic movement runs strong it gains about 4 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering that it has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. As clearly seen in the last picture the spring bar needed to connect the buckle with the bracelet is missing.***********This seldom seen women's vintage 1960's Titus Calypsomatic 7845 diver, which came from the estate of its original owner, has under the heavily worn crystal a pristine glossy black "T SWISS MADE T" signed gilt dial. Any imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial. The original lume, which remains fully intact and emits a faint, quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The bezel, which shows wear and rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, presents nicely with the toasted butterscotch lume pip complementing the dial and patina beautifully. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is faintly stamped "WATERPROOF NON MAGNETIC SWISS INCABLOC STAINLESS STEEL" with "SOLVIL ET TITUS" followed by "GENEVE" and "7845" stamped in the center. The crystal should be replaced. While I normally show pictures of the movements of watches I put up for sale the case back on this watch is torqued too tight for me to remove. Based on several other examples I've had the movement is likely a 21 jewels ETA 2551 with semi-quickset date function. It runs strong, albeit fast, and the blue/red date wheel rolls over at 12 am. The semi-quickset date function works flawlessly by manually rolling over a new date and then moving the hour hand repeatedly between the 21 and 24 hour marks until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the non-screwdown, signed crown 39 full revolutions the movement gained about 4 minutes by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. The crown winds smoothly. Given that the movement runs fast and considering that it has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 25 mm excluding the crown, approximately 27.5 mm including the crown and approximately 12 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 7.5 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This watch comes on its original 12 link "STAINLESS STEEL" and "TITUS" stamped bracelet that shows moderate wear and stretch. As clearly seen in the last picture the spring bar needed to connect the buckle with the bracelet is missing. Given that the movement runs fast a complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 17 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.
