Description: A very nice, very lightly run, Williams by Bachmann 20091 Texas Special #210 Dual Motor Powered Alco FA-2 with True Blast + sounds for O/027 gauge made in ~2018 as part of an Alco FA-FA powered/dummy set. This powered engine works great with all other 3-Rail O/027 gauge trains from Lionel, MTH, K-Line, Weaver, etc... This powerful short 027 Alco FA-2 engine features dual "maintenance free" large vertical can motors with flywheels, 8 wheel drive, 4 traction tires, conventional transformer control, 3 position electronic reversing (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) with lock-out switch, magnetic operating die-cast front coupler, fixed (non-opening) rear coupler, all metal frame/ trucks & gears, illuminated front headlight, True Blast Plus horn, bell & diesel motor sounds and classic Texas Special #210 colors & markings. The combination of the large dual motors, 8 wheel drive, 4 traction tires, all metal trucks and an engine weight of nearly 4 lbs gives this short engine great pulling power!This short (10") engine is perfect for 0-27 diameter curves (027 layouts) but is just as comfortable on the larger curves as well. I lubed the gears & rollers, checked the tires and test ran the engine on my layout and the motors, reverse unit, light and True Blast sounds all worked fine. **Note: the sounds all work fine but the volume is soft so that the bell & diesel motor sounds seem to get lost when the train is moving** ***Note: transformer (or separate) whistle/horn & bell controls are required to activate the horn & bell sounds, no controls required for diesel motor sounds***This engine comes with an original (cut-down) box, foam inserts & copy of the engine instruction sheets and I will wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.
