Description: VTG Tara Figurine 3Way Lamp, Buddhist Deity, Mother of all Buddhas, Goddess of the Healing Arts Lightly used lamp depicting Tara, the Buddhist diety who symbolizes "the feminine element of compassion as well as general success and achievement." We are selling this lamp on behalf of an elderly neighbor who picked it up in the Far East as a flight attendant sometime during the latter half of the 20th century. The beige figurine on a black pedestal is strikingly attractive. Adding in the black lampshade with gold inner surface, and you have a piece that is both contemporary and timeless. The lamp stands 33" tall and has a 6" x 6" pedestal. Slightly tapered cone shade with the base, which, at its widest point, measures approximately 13 3/4" across. Lamp weight 6 1/2 lbs. 3-way socket with a harp style shade mount. No chips in the ceramic. Possible crack on the right foot of the figure, although we think this is consistent with the art style (scan photo #7). The cord and plug look good. The shade shows some signs of wear with some subtle creasing (scan photo #10). Securely packed with gently recycled materials and sent via FedEx standard delivery to continental USA addresses. We will be unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii or any PO Boxes at this time due to the large package size. Please contact us if you have any questions or would like additional photos. Thank you for looking, and have a wonderful day!
