Description: Vintage African Solid EbonyFace Mask Wall Art This is part of a multi-generational curated estate which has been parted out, consisting of some very nice and interesting vintage original handmade African pieces. I have many, many more pieces that will be listed in the months to come. Please save me as a favorite seller if you have interest. This mask-shaped art is hand carved from solid ebony. The wood has wonderful striations of copper shading running vertically through it, with an especially nice stripe of warm gold through the left side of the face (as viewed) and an aesthetically interesting "facial scar" on the right comes courtesy of the nature of the wood. Comb striations form the hair and tramp art-style carved edges imitate raffia borders. The back of the piece has been hand smoothed and flattened with a wedge cut out for wall hanging. Approximately 6" tall, 4" wide, 2" deep. Smooth and heavy at 20 ounces before packaging.Please view the photos carefully as I consider them an important part of the description.
