Description: Here is an interesting Windsor chair that was made in the fine state of Wisconsin although which company made it is still a mystery. I would date the chair to probably the 1920s to 1940s and there were numerous manufacturers in Wisconsin from that time period. If any of you furniture aficionados can identify the company from the torn label I would appreciate the insight for sure. The chair is a bit on the smaller side with a spindled bow back, a wide saddle seat and H shaped stretchers. It is fairly light and I would guess mahogany for its wood but it could certainly be something else. It's a lovely and simple utilitarian design and the chair almost harks back to the 1800s with its basic and sturdy presence. The chair could be earlier than I've guessed but hard to know for sure. It's certainly a pretty Windsor chair with a lovely shape, size and form. Thanks for looking.
