Description: Very heavy duty Mechanic's Tool Chest/Box Type II, Class A, 18"/10"/13". Produced to government contract for military use. See pic of riveted tag on front. Fold out to reveal closed and open trays on both sides. Built to last. I do notice that a few of the rivets holding the drawer fold out hinges have been replaced with nuts/bolts. Good handle, clasp (with hole for padlock) and latches. The unit has been repainted at some point on the outside with the same color paint as original (as seen on the inside). There is a lot of surface rust on the outside bottom - no rust through. Some paint splatters, a little dirty - I just vacuumed it out. Great as is or as a restoration project.HEAVY ITEM so shipping is not cheap. The box weighs just under 20#!! But, how often do you see these great old tool boxes?
