Description: Late 20th Century Pine Irish Style "Chicken Coop" Dresser HutchThis large, rustic show stopping one piece tall hutch previously came from the famous Piccadilly Cafeteria in Tampa, FL and is awaiting its next proud owner. The hutch is a vintage (ca 1970-80s?) pine kitchen piece, made in the old Irish chicken coop dresser style. The lower part is a coop, and historically was used to keep your chickens toasty warm and safe in the kitchen area overnight. Two sliding door slats offer access to this storage space. Above is a long plate rack storage shelf, with multiple narrower shelves atop that, all with raised plate edges.Overall excellent vintage condition, with original honey pine finish, sled type feet in the traditional Irish style, and sweet heart shaped open cutouts, just below the crown molding top.Minor age related wear, with some finish wear/impressions from prior storage of items. Overall, structurally sound and fairly heavy.
