Description: Oval cabochons of glass blue as a bright summer sky shine in this fun and funky, matched jewelry set. Smooth, slinky chains pass through beautiful niello enamel plaques along the bracelet and necklace. The earrings have a twisted rope border surrounding the glass gem embellished both top and bottom with three applied silver wire circles, blue glass bead swags swing gleefully from the bottoms, and a single blue bead highlights the top and finishes with delicate ear wires that close with a simple small wire hook at the back. Coils and ropes of silver wire adorn the central embellishments of the bracelet and necklace, each close securely with a spring ring clasp and is adorned with yet more sky-blue glass beadwork. Circa 1970. Niello is a form of jewelry enameling, that has been in use for more than a thousand years. Measurements: The bracelet is about 7.5" in length. Central plaque is 1.22"/31.1mm by 0.82"/21mm. Smaller side plaques are all about 0.44"/11.3mm by 0.56"/14.3mm. Earring drops are 1.44"/36.6mm long (not including ear wires), and 0.54"/13.8mm at their widest points. Necklace has a wearable length of just over 19". Central decoration dangles down roughly 1.74"/44.3mm. Condition: In good pre-owned condition. Ear wires are slightly misshapen but no less wearable. Some wear to the necklace is visible, please look closely at the photos. The spring ring clasp is in great functional condition. Some discoloration of the metal can be seen. The enamel on the bracelet is showing some wear, there are a few visible chips. Chains on one side are slightly uneven in length. The spring ring clasp is fully functional. Used/Vintage.
