Description: An antique mother of pearl manicure tool was mated to a vintage brass dollhouse candlestick to make this pleasing little pipe tamp. It's not often I come across "Live Edge" mother of pearl...pieces where the original artist left the manufacturing template behind and built a tool handle that follows the natural form of the source. These, gently flowing designs feel so wonderful in the hand and have a certain natural beauty. Very nice. I just have a few and I will photograph an average representative. The tamp you receive will be gorgeous and correct, but not necessarily the one you see in the listing. This is a perfect example of a situation where I must remind that these tamps have patina and variation. They are art pieces, not factory output.
