Description: For your consideration is this Hans Jensen silver plate handled mirror and covered comb set in a Repousse pattern. The mirror with handle is 4 3/8" long; the mirror, measured across the outside, is 2 5/8" in diameter. The mirror is in perfect condition.Hans Jensen was a Danish silversmith and part of a family that produced silver works in Copenhagen and subsequently in Aarhus from 1899 to 1970. Although not professionally verified, these pieces likely date from 1935 to 1940. The comb case is 5" long, and the faux tortoiseshell comb appears to be original to the piece. I have buffed the pieces but for once (me and my polished silver plate!)have not polished them. I have found with these Hans Jensen pieces that some people want them in a more natural state. Of course you can polish them! I appreciate your interest!
