Vintage Fenton Hobnail Milk Glass Octagon Punch Bowl #3820- RARE

Description: Vintage Fenton Hobnail Milk Glass Octagon Punch Bowl #3820. This rare piece was only produced from 1953-1957 by the Fenton Art Glass Company and is pre-makers mark. The item is pictured and described in "The Big Book of Fenton Milk Glass 1940 - 1985" by John Walk on page 33. The punch bowl is approximately 11 1/4" across at the rim, the base is 8" across and its just under 7" tall. It is very well made and very heavy, weighing in at 7lbs 14 ounces. It features 10 rows of hobnails and has over 100 on the bottom. It has a sawtooth edge on the rim. There is one small chip on the top edge as seen in the photos. It actually serves as a nice little spoon rest for the ladle (not included). When the ladle is present, you wouldn't be able to see it. While it does have this small issue, it still feels like something someone might want to complete their set as this was only produced by Fenton for such a short period so long ago. The rest of the piece feels good, hobnails intact, and I only see some minor scuff marks on the bottom. This stunner came in a Milk Glass lot of items I bought and I just don't have room for such a large piece.
