Description: Up for sale is a Fender Stratocaster from the 80’s, made in Japan, that’s had a few electronic upgrades. The pickups have been replaced with Fralin Vintage Hots (with the metal plate upgrade on the bridge pickup). The switch has been replaced with an Oak Grigsby 5-way and the tone capacitor has been replaced with a vintage .022 cap. I think the pickguard also is not original, because there is an extra screw hole in the body by the switch (about an inch off which indicates this may have been a Jimi Hendrix model guitar originally?). The frets are in good shape, the guitar plays great, all the electronics work quietly, and the tremolo bridge is fantastic. It’s only 8 lb. It’s a very well balanced guitar, and with the Fralins it really is over the top excellent. There are many small grey speckles in the Olympic white paint, look closely at the pics, as they are the best description. This guitar is dependable, solid, and super fun to play, with a nice round neck carve and 7.25” fingerboard radius. Only selling because I just bought a semi-hollow guitar and need the funds. Also included is a basically new lightweight Gator molded Fender style guitar case for Strats, Tele’s etc. Will be well packed!
