Description: VINTAGE Collectible CITY SPORT Store ADVERTISING Mannequin HEAD Men's DISPLAY CITY SPORT STORE ADVERTISING DISPLAY Awesome display piece of a man's head advertising City Sport, which I think was a chain of stores in England. I think also this is plaster or chalk, hand painted and made in France or Belguim. I bought it in the mid 1990's at an Antique show in San Francisco. I think I remember the dealer saying that they purchased it at auction, thus the tag on the bottom. They did mention purchasing this either in England or it was from England. The tag on bottom says Lockson, which is a mover of fine art in New Jersey and England. It has a few nicks on it, so please study the photos. If you need more photos just message me and I'll be happy to provide them. This fellow is a counter display but would look fabulous in a man cave or walk in closet. I used to carefully display men's fedora hats on him, but was afraid he would get scratched so I stopped doing that. I am not certain that this is made of plaster or chalk. It could be chalk which is more inclined to get damaged easier. This is a conversation piece! It screams Art Deco or Moderene! He's a fine chap!Looks fantastic anywhere! I took the photos outside because the lighting is better, however you should NOT display him outside. It's not a garden piece, he needs a counter or a table to sit on without worrying about the elements. Not in direct sunlight either. THANK YOU!
