Vintage 1930s Burgundy Flutter Weight Floral Rayon Dress Bust to 44

Description: My friend Mia will approve - This lovely 1930s rayon dress is so soft to the touch. One of the lightest rayons I've ever encountered. Rich burgundy with cream floral print, smocked shoulders, 9 fabric loop bodice closure with 8 celluloid or Bakelite buttons (sadly, one is missing), 2/3 length full sleeves with one inch banding. Sliding the banding up the arms creates fuller sleeves. Inverted skirt pleats are topstitched from waist to below the knee. No closure except the bodice buttons. No belt needed either. One hole in the hem interior was repaired with fusible fabric. It does not show as it is under the hem. A 3/4" tear in the right sleeve material was stitched back together by us. A larger vintage size, too. Bust measures 44 from seam to seam. Waist 36 from seam to seam. An exceptional garment. Dry Cleaned. Dress measures: bust 40 to 44, shoulder to shoulder 15, sleeve length 14, waist 32 to 36, hips 44, length 45, hem sweep is 60. The bagged shipping weight is 14 ounces.A note regarding vintage clothing: it is rarely perfect.
