Based on the top section and the fold away mirror (glass mirror missing), I assume it is some type of traveling person's shaving, make-up, and/or toiletries case. Case is walnut. Excellent workmanship (fit and finish) with mortise tenon construction. All brass hardware appears original. Note side handles for easy transport. Dimensions: 19" tall x 16" wide x 12" deep.
