Description: Rare (in this condition) and probably unique 1906 American Thermos Bottle Company travel set - all original - WOW. Two almost matching bottles - 13 1/2" high - with matching screw off tops that are cups. Below are all-original corks. ORIGINAL CORKS. One bottle has only one line at the top. On the bottom is "USA THERMOS PAT. MAY 8, 1906" The second bottle has a line at the top and bottom and four raised dots of different sizes. On the bottom is "AMERICAN THERMOS BOTTLE CO. NEW YORK AMERICAN TRADEMARK THERMOS U.S. PATENTS. MAY 8, 1906 SEP 24, 1907 DEC 3, 1907 APR 14, 1908 APR 14, 1908 MAY 9, 1908 MAY 26 1908" VERY LIMITED WEAR ON THE BOTTLE. I notice only 3-4 tiny dings in total. The case has a top that comes off. One of the top's Leather straps is off, but present. The bottom of the case is gold stamped "LONDON MADE." The original strap is present and the strap buckles are good. I note no significant damage to the case. Some staining underneath the velvet-lined top. The velvet is pulling away about 5%. This is an absolutely gorgeous item.
