Description: I have made a ring that clamps on the mirror post of 80 series Toyota Land Cruisers. It keeps the spring compressed so that the mirror will stay in place while driving and not just flop against the door.As the mirrors age the spring pushes the metal clip up on the post until it pops off and no longer holds the mirror in place. The ring has 4 set screws that screw down into the post to hold the spring down, and still let the mirror fold as intended. I recommend drilling through the post to give the set screws greater holding force against the spring.you can use a 1/8" or #29 drill bit for the holes. I recommend drilling straight through toward the door as you can't drill in the opposite direction. Here is a video showing how I did this on my Land Cruiser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xgqfanQkx4&t=185s This listing is for the aluminum rings. I will link my other listing for the bronze ones below.https://www.ebay.com/itm/335594313073
