Ownership plate to front pastedown, belonging to Joseph and Mabel Wheeler. Binding remains firm. Rough-cut pages have noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. Lengthy previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpaper. Plates are lightly tanned with noticeable foxing. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Visible tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor fraying to spine ends and corners. Faint water staining to boards with some white marks and scratches. Gilt lettering is darkened. Book has a slight forward lean. This book has been inspected carefully by hand by trained book valuers to ensure the condition description is as accurate as possible for this exact copy pictured.
