Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Syracuse China Roslyn Set of Two (2) Imperfect Dinner Plates. At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, serving pieces, and extra pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The dinner plates measure approximately 9.75” in diameter and are marked with the following backstamp: “Roslyn, Design Copyrighted, 1916, O.P.C.O Syracuse China”, and have a white/ivory base with a floral rim and basket center, in addition to a green rim and patterned verge. The pattern has been discontinued with the years of manufacture unknown. Condition: Please note that the pieces included in this set are imperfect. The pieces are not “like new” and show imperfections, and signs of use/wear as described below. Plate #1 has a 0.375” chip on the front rim and a glazing imperfection on the front outer portion of the plate. Plate #2 has a few light clear crazing lines on the front center of the plate and also has a 0.375” chip on the back rim. Aside from the imperfections mentioned above, the plates were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no additional major condition issues were noticed upon a thorough inspection. The pieces do show moderate signs of use, utensil scratches/marks, age spots, cleaning scratches/swirling, and imperfections/missing segments to the green rim/verge. Please also note that there may also be some light variation in the intensity of color between pieces throughout this set. Overall, I feel that these items would go well with an everyday set or as additional inexpensive additions to a moderately used set of your own.
