Description: Here's a beautifully coated quartz point from a rare location in the Andes Mountains of Peru. A true natural beauty from a legendary now closed mine. The quartz crystal is coated in a secondary growth layer of vibrant blue botryoidal chrysocolla, and fuzzy shattuckite I have not seen many pieces with hte shattuckite association, making this piece especially rare A sparkling/fuzzy shattuckite layer has puddled on the crystal and shimmers like diamonds in the sun. Be sure and check the video to see what I mean. Some areas of the crystal remain uncovered giving a view thought the crystal to the inside of the outer growth. Reds from the iron, as well as blacks and blues can be seen dotted throughout. Such a cool feature about this piece, that adds an amazing contrast of color. The top of the crystal features larger clear formations perched atop. The bright colors on this specimen really stand out and make your mineral cabinet pop. From the famous Tentadora mine, Julcani District, Angaraes Province, Huancavelica, Peru. Piece measures approximately 5.25cm. X 1.75cm. [isdntekvideo]
