Mouse over the pics for much more information, such as the last names of all the astronauts and cosmonauts.STS-128 (ISS assembly flight 17A) was a NASA Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station (ISS) that launched on 28 August 2009. Space Shuttle Discovery carried the Multi-Purpose Logistics Module Leonardo as its primary payload. Leonardo contained a collection of experiments for studying the physics and chemistry of microgravity. Three spacewalks were carried out during the mission, which removed and replaced a materials processing experiment outside ESA's Columbus module, and returned an empty ammonia tank assembly.[4]The mission's first launch attempt was delayed due to weather concerns, including multiple weather violations in NASA's launch rules, beginning over two hours before the scheduled launch.[5][6][7] The second launch attempt, scheduled for 26 August 2009 at 01:10:22 EDT, was called off the previous evening due to an anomaly in one of the orbiter's fuel valves.[8][9][10] The launch finally took place on 28 August 2009 at 23:59 EDT. Discovery landed on 11 September 2009 at Edwards Air Force Base, which was the last landing of a shuttle to occur at the California site.Nicole Stott was originally scheduled to return aboard Soyuz TMA-15, but a change in the flight plan was made due to the possible flight delays in future shuttle missions, which could have extended Canadian astronaut Robert Thirsk's mission beyond the six-month duration preferred for station crew members.STS-128 was the final Space Shuttle flight used for ISS crew rotation, with Nicole Stott replacing Tim Kopra. Stott returned on STS-129, but that flight did not bring her replacement. The mission of Christer Fuglesang was named Alissé by the European Space Agency. The name was proposed by Jürgen Modlich from Baierbrunn, Germany. The name refers to the 15th-century explorers who used the trade winds to follow Christopher Columbus across the oceans to the New World.STS-128 also marked the first time two Hispanic Americans were on the same crew. John "Danny" Olivas of El Paso, Texas, made his second trip into space, and José M. Hernández of Stockton, California, made his first. Both are of Mexican heritage.I have HUNDREDS of Baikonur, NASA, Cosmonaut, Astronaut, Space Shuttle items from NASA Dr. Juan Flores' estate to list, and will be listing them as time allows. Dr. Flores appears to have been NASA's Doctor in Residence at Baikonur for 20 years, assessing the health of American Astronauts and others pre and post space mission while he resided at Baikonur Cosmodrome. If you have a desire for a specific space mission item, feel free to message me and I will look through the items to see if I can find it. If you google NASA Doctor Flores Baikonur you will see a very interesting story of his life at the top of the google list._________________________________FREE Domestic Economy Shipping. Shipping weight about 1 ounce and will be sent as a first class letter, even internationally. International shipping ok. I will combine shipping on all my items. If you have a question about shipping costs for a specific mix of items, please don't hesitate to email me for a shipping cost quote. If you choose to then buy the items, please wait until I send you an invoice before paying for the items for your combined shipping quote or you might send excess shipping payments that ebay will charge a non-refundable fee for. Returns accepted. Uninsured shipments are at your risk. I always have confirmation that I have shipped. International shipping ok. The ebay and USPS delivery estimates are wildly optimistic. My experience is that international shipping will take 10 - 21+ days until delivery. Only Express Mail has a chance to meet the delivery estimate. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPERS NOTE: I cannot determine or pay any duties or know about quarantine your country may impose on any of my items. Please check with your local post office BEFORE buying or bidding so you don't get any unwelcome surprises. International First Class is the least expensive, but also is the least dependable. Please select your shipping option when buying. If you look at my ratings, you will note that only 2% of the sellers on ebay have my dual distinction. I have earned these ratings by being an honest, accurate and fast shipping seller. If you have ANY question or concern, please contact me through ebay messages and NOT through the paypal email address, as I only check that address monthly. I will answer most ebay messages in less than 1 day, and all in 2 days. Local pickup ok on all my items.. Alternate methods of payment ok if no paypal account as shown below. Please peruse my ebay store 'The Anachron' by clicking on the red icon at the top of this listing. INSURANCE NOTE: I try to insure every shipment of $20.00 or more by ebay's insurance. Unfortunately, 2012 postal regulations forbid insurance on certain types of postal shipping services to various countries. Also, unfortunately, I now usually only find out whether an item can be insured when I go to make out the shipping label. If insurance is incredibly important to you, email me before bidding and I will try to see if the least expensive shipping service can be insured. An example of the international differences is that at this time, Canada apparently forbids insurance on all postal service levels except Express Mail Parcels. In contrast, I have been able to insure First Class Parcels to both Argentina and Switzerland. I do not personally insure anything. UNINSURED SHIPMENTS ARE SENT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
