Description: This listing is for one pair of new-old stock shoulder boards. In this case, 14.5 centimeter boards for wear on an officer uniform shirt. To attach them, you will need a pair of shoulder board buttons (unfortunately I don't have spares of the navy buttons) and a length of string or a shoelace (I have seen all sorts of things used - even matchsticks). Rank is indicated by small metal stars (different from the larger stars worn by senior officers). You should also add the pins for the appropriate branch. These boards can be done up for the ranks of junior lieutenant, lieutenant, senior lieutenant, and captain. I have the appropriate stars in stock, if you need them. How do you know what size you need? Simply measure your shirt from the shoulder seam to the collar seam. That said, you have a bit of leeway here, and in many cases the size does not need to match exactly. These would also look cool on plenty of other clothing of course! These boards were made in the former Soviet Union, but were never issued. Most boards still have their original paper wrap or connecting thread, but I cannot guarantee that you will receive either with your boards. Some of them have come apart over the years, and some seem to have come straight from the factory like that. However, if this is important to you, simply ask when you buy them and I will do my best to make sure you get what you want! These boards will come in a small bubble mailer, sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard to keep them rigid.
