Description: An SGC graded VG-EX+ 4.5 - 1948/49 Leaf rookie card of Jim Hegan of the Cleveland Indians. This example has no creasing, bold printing, nice focus, good registration, excellent color and clean borders. The corners are consistent with those found on most EX+ examples, with the exception of slightly more wear on the upper left corner. The printing on the front is shifted just slightly to the right and there are a few minor printing imperfections, but the card still displays well. There is some light toning on the front (not uncommon with cards from this issue), but it does not detract too much from the overall eye appeal of the card. On the back of the card, there is a dark imperfection in the cardboard near the lower portion of the right edge, but it does not show through to the front of the card. Otherwise, the back is clean with bold printing. Even with the minor flaws, this is still a nice looking card for the grade.
