Description: This is Seth Thomas’s Parlor 5 calendar clock. The clock is in nice antique condition with no major issues to report. Expect the typical scuffs and scratches associated with a clock from the 1880’s. The finish appears to be original and the dials do not appear to be repainted, although the bottom dial looks like it could have been stabilized with a shellac or clear coat. It’s well done. The clock ticks when the pendulum is started and chimes on the hour when the hands are cycled. The hands were cycled until the calendar movement changes. The day hand moved forward and the day roller flipped. The hands were cycled three times to test the calendar. This is the extent of the testing, so the clock is being sold as found. These calendar clocks can be finicky so expect to make adjustments after shipping. It’s a very nice original Seth Thomas double dial and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!
