Description: This is a Gruen " CURVEX " named *The Portrait * from the early 1940`s . Gruen is the most collected of all watches and the CURVEX is the most collected of the Gruens. . This Gruen has the famous collector`s Curvex *440* movement in it which was probably the most produced Curvex movement which was mostly made in the early to mid 1940`s . The Case Bezel is unique with it`s fancy "rope" styling and this has a handsome vintage off white dial as well which is finished in a sort of satin and also the watch has a brand new GENUINE CROCODILE SKIN strap and a new crystal which were installed while being serviced so, buy with confidence . All of our vintage watches have been serviced and are working . We go one step further and time them for 12 hours and record the date of the effort before shipping to assure our customers that they are getting a working watch which will hopefully last a lifetime .
