Description: Salem Witch Spoon by Daniel Low, Silver weight 35 grams, sharp detail and clarity, little signs of wear or handling, leads me to believe a spoon strictly for display and not use, I would consider this a high grade, very desirable and will continue to appreciate, everything seems to be present, Witch wearing cloak with pointed hat, creepy stance on quarter moon, 3 needle pins in straw, bound by a entwined rope, date of 1692 on broom handle, with Salem spelled out, below hissing arched cat as a warning, and the bottom a frayed rope end, Backside is a mirror image of the front, engraving of the name "CORA" and the imprinted name "DANIEL LOW " Sterling, my opinion on any antique or vintage item that's engraved adds to the items character, fine detail on front and back show the workmanship that went into this design, each symbol represents a meaning of that time period and this would add one to your collection, a beautiful example that has survived without use or damage, Spoon is truly better than photos show....I just want to point out the detail of the Witch again, her pointed hat with a turban wrapped around, her boots, nose, fingers, places where a spoon would be handled most, all there and then some and not worn down as most have become....
