Restored German Bosch BR8 mechanical advance only distributor

Description: Here's a fully restored German Bosch cast iron BR8 mechanical advance only distributor. They are the same specs as the Bosch 019 as well. These were used originally in 1955-59 split screen buses. This distributor was fully disassembled, cleaned and inspected. It was then reassembled with Bosch grease, new shaft fiber washers w/all parts having a rust prevention chemical applied.All the external steel parts were stripped and re-zinc plated. The cap clips were also dipped in a black chromate for the original appearance. The cast iron body was media blasted and then painted. The paint was baked on.New points, condenser, cap and rotor are installed. Post restoration, it was tested on my Sun distributor machine. It was right in spec.
