Description: Up for sale here is this very rare Rek-O-Kut Rondine 2 turntable. This is a very interesting one. I have never seen another table like this. It has a beautiful plexiglas (or some similar material) base, which looks incredible. This has a Micropoise tonearm with headshell but no cartridge/stylus. It also has a rare auto-lift mechanism installed underneath. This may have been a salesperson's sample, but I don't know for sure. This has been tested and the motor runs fine, but this does not work perfectly. The tonearm does NOT move smoothly--I think it was tightened down too much at one point, and the ball bearings damaged the collar that they fit into, so the arm doesn't rotate smoothly. Also, the automatic mechanism will not set this down correctly--I think it may be missing a small piece somewhere. Otherwise this seems to work ok. It does not come with a belt, sorry. This is sold as non-working, for restoration. It may have other issues beyond what I described. Please see my pictures for details. US shipping and handling is $100.
