The catalog includes introductions by Deborah G. Douglas, The MIT Museum's Curator of Science and Technology, and by Raymond V. Giordano. Noted scientific instrument scholar Anthony J. Turner also contributes an essay on simple microscopes. Mr. Turner told me at the opening of the MIT exhibition that this was the best collection he was aware of in private hands.
