Description: Unique Antique ladle. I am not sure whst this was used for does seem to have a lip built in for hanging on the edge of pot or?. Face appears to be brass while twist handle iron and shell scoop seems to be copper. Very nicely done with intricate design. Measures 17" long 4" wide. From research.I believe it to be from late 1800's . Used for placing single coals on fire.
