Description: A rare Minton majolica double-handled muffin dish or butter pot, the cover featuring a recumbent goat finial. Base impressed 'Minton'. A superb collector's piece in very good condition. Measurements: Width 20 cms/8 inches; height 13 cms/5.25 inches Condition: very good commensurate with age; no damage to body or cover; slight glaze loss to rim of cover. Goat possibly had horns now missing but difficult to be sure. An unusual and rare survivor in this condition.
