Description: Rare Coca-Cola Celsius Temperature Thermometer Type Display - Working From 1950's Here is an Original Thermometer Display that reads Celsius that was Manufactured sometime in the Early to Middle 1950's, or possibly Late 1940's. This Thermometer was likely made for the European Market or for Japan and the bottom section has Japanese Markings so it may have been designed to be used for several areas were Celsius was in normal use at the time. While we believe the Thermometer was likely Manufactured in the USA, we cannot say for sure and we can only assume it was Originally made for the European Market. With this said, with the Japanese Markings, it also may have been Manufactured in Japan. This Thermometer still works Great! We will also have to say that it reads about 5 to 6 Degrees high from what it should and while we are unsure if this slight difference could be corrected, it should still be close enough for anyone to use even today. There is slight staining along the top section and this has caused slight rusting and some of this same type of rust can be seen on the back side. We suspect it hang outside for sometime likely on a porch setting before it was finally brought inside for safe keeping. The Display measures about 11 1/2 inches across and is about 1 inch deep. For Ebay Standards, we assign Condition Grade of Very Good(+) for this Rare Original Thermometer. While Fahrenheit examples can be found with some regularity, the Celsius Types are quite Rare and this one may be the only one to show up on the Market for quite some time and one may not show up again for quite a long time.
