Description: RARE 1954 St Louis Cardinal Team Promotional Cards August A Busch Jr - Lot Of 14. These promotional souvenir cards were handed out at games. On the bottom of each card it reads Dear Cardinal fan, I hope that you like this autographed picture of your favorite Cardinal player best wishes. August A. Busch, Jr. The blue signatures are facsimiles. Each card measures approx.. 4"x6". Some cards unfortunately do have light water damage and some discoloring. Probably the coolest part about all this is on the back of the Harvey Haddix card who was the pitcher for the St Louis Cardinals at the time there is a handwritten note on the back. You can see it in the last photo above but it reads that the original owner received these pictures on September 18th 1954 when Philly's 66 baseball Club traveled to see the cards play the Braves. It also notes that the Philly's 66 team won the Babe Ruth League championship. And it appears that maybe this was a player on that team. Check over the photos above and make your own judgments.
