These features include an integrated laser-rangefinder with a measuring distance of 875 yards to improve accuracy by providing an exact distance to the target. To ensure adaptability across multiple weapon platforms, the Thermion 2 can save up to five individual shooting profiles for different types of weapons and cartridges. Another intuitive aspects of the Thermion 2 include the picture-in-picture mode, and a wide angle eyepiece. The picture-in-picture mode displays a magnified, high-precision, magnified image frame of the target and reticle. This frame provides the user with a closer view of target, but only takes up 10% of the total display area, allowing total visual control of the entire field of view. The wide angle eyepiece (and the HD AMOLED display) eliminates the keyhole effect, resulting in greatly reduced eye-strain and enables the user to fully concentrate on their target.
