Description: A beautiful antique Victorian 9K gold, turquoise and woven hair buckle mourning ring. The buckle in Victorian mourning jewelry represents strength and fortitude for the loved ones to get through the hard times. This lovely solid 9K yellow gold mourning ring is in the shape of a belt with closed buckle decorated with three stunning robin's egg blue and forest green Persian turquoise cabochons, the entire band inlaid with dark brown tightly woven hair. The inside of the ring is engraved in italic script 'E.E.C. from R.H.' The ring tests for 9K gold. The ring is approximately a size 7. Around the buckle measures approximately 19mm. The turquoise cabochons measure about 2mm across. The band is about 4mm wide. The ring rises about 4mm above the finger. The ring weighs approximately 2.6 grams. The ring is in general very good condition with all over general wear. There are some blemishes to the gold on the inside and tarnishing to the outside.
