With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch include: 1. This watch is large and works well on most medium to large male wrists. It brings a modern sporting look and I can recommend this watch for somebody with a wrist size of 6+3/4 inches in circumference and larger. The strap will accomodate up to an 8 inch wrist. Any larger and you will have to source a new aftermarket strap but it will still work very well on a wrist larger than 8 inches. This one has a lot of wrist presence as it is uber-black cool. Very, very rockstar, bouncer, club owner, playboy or F1 driver kind of vibe. This one definitely looks the business on a fancy yacht but not for one who likes yacht rock. Attitude, "bad boy" and a serious statement timepiece. Among watch enthusiasts, this is a grail brand and then a rare grail reference within the Pierre Kunz brand. 2. This is a fantastic "one watch" as it goes with everything and can handle a variety of duties. I would note that this is not a dive watch but rather one more suitable for action pursuits in a boat or on terra firma. I cannot imagine it is a good idea to swim with this one given the complications, refinements and leather straps. Keep this one mainly dry but if you splash some water on it you will be fine. 3. The watch is comfortable on the very impressive leather strap. The current strap can handle up to about a 8 inch wrist. I also consider this a great "beater watch" for somebody who is wealthy but who also wants to bring some style to their outfit and loves a modern sporting kind of look. It is luxury but also reasonably durable and ready for action. I have worn this one on the aftermarket black with aggressive red stitching so that one has the most wear. 4. Highlights on this one includes the gorgeous black dial, interesting and intriguing tri-register layout and overall animation that takes this from great watchmaking to awesome haute horology. Let me explain and let's get into it. 5. First of all this one features two retrograde or snap-back complications. And they synced to add visual "shock and awe" to the recording and referencing of seconds. But wait, there is more! The bottom register features a floating, retrograde second hand which explains the circular-like path... yet slide-over... then snap back retrograde feature. I have never seen seconds displayed this way. Mesmorizing. Synced with this is the word "Geneve" across a top of dial arc. This level of complications and coordinated dance could only be achieved and invented in Geneva or "Geneve" as they say in that French speaking canton of Switzerland. 6. On to the next piece of watchmaking wizardry, the uncoupling of the hour and minute hand. This is referred to as making the dial a "Regulator." Why? Because they can, they think it is cool, it makes the wearer think and appreciate timekeeping complexity and innvation. 7. While all Pierre watches are cool, expensive and rare... there is a hiearchy. The brand loves retrograde dials and registers and does these complications exceedingly well. This model, the Virevolante, stands out for that floating retrograde second hand in harmony with the arcing "Geneve" top-dial script. The second "picture" is an 8 second video of this awesomeness. Please watch it a few times so you appreciate the complication. If it does not impress you and make you smile then consider one of my other timepieces for sale. Smile. 8. This one comes with a Pierre Kunz box and collateral (e.g., other items) as pictured in the "everything picture" (picture #3) as well. You get an awesome watch with box and stuff and a very large discount off of the approximate $15K plus (out the door price) you would have paid... if you could have found one and then be invited... or allowed... to buy one. Words like "Haute Horology" get thrown around a lot but it is generally considered the highest level of watchmaking. Certain brands live in that space and certain models and specific references claim the phrase for a given watch. I would submit that one consideration of this admittedly subjective adjective for Pierre Kunz is that it strives to move fine watch-making forward by inventing or modifying complications. The company motto should be "Bet you have never seen this!" This is my kind of watch and frankly if I do not get near my Buy-It-Now price then I will just wear it and enjoy it and break it out when around others who appreciated innovation and watchmaking. Awesome for meet-ups for with car or watch people. Probably best for somebody who already has a Holy-Trinity brand as well as a Submariner, Speedmaster, Navitimer, etc.. And now they want to really "flex." We do not offer a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs via advice on where to go and what to do (with no profit for us but paid for by you).
