Description: I recently purchased a large military relic collection belonging to a man (now deceased) who metal detected back east in the 1980's, and also in NM, AZ and Texas after moving here to New Mexico in the 1990's, so watch my present and future auctions for alot of nice Civil War and Indian Wars dug and nondug relics from his collection. Model 1851 NCO rectangular eagle belt plate. There is a sticker on the back that says Stone River, etc. Not sure if he found this buckle, or purchased it. I would guess that he bought it. If it's dug, then it has been cleaned a long time ago, and is getting some patina back to it. It may be non-dug, not really sure. It has a break on the bar where the belt goes thru (see photo). Also has a soldier engraved "H" on the back-pretty well done (see photo). Measures approx. 3 5/16" x 2". Great Civil War display item. Always glad to combine shipping if you win more than one auction. Thanks for bidding!
