Packaged for travel in a handy small format and fully functional, the model railway layout simply travels along with you in a small package.This beautiful Z-gauge summer layout offers a lot of driving pleasure in a small space. The varied railway line leads over an imposing viaduct and through an avalanche barrier. At the centre of the complex is a pretty little village with four illuminated houses and two additional lighted outbuildings. Thanks to the two traction circuits two trains can be run independently of each other on isolated circuits. Note changes below in the circuits and power controller.Layout size is 752mm (29 5/8") x 505mm (19 7/8") x 178mm (7") with all scenery. Upgrades, Changes and AdditionsThe original Noch two controller powersupply has failed because the circuits were not short circuil protected( a major problem of Noch power supplies). This controller has been replaced with Smart Analog single circuit controller with short circuit protection and acceleration and decceleration control. It controls both circuits at the same time, but with the turnouts set properly you can run two trains if needed. If needed that two circuits are isolated so the user can access the two track feeds under the layout and a second controller such as a portable Snail controller could be added to controll the two circuits independently.Turnouts on the layout are electrically controlled with the controller placed on the lower left corner of the layout. The original Meran layout did not have these controlled electrically.All of the buildings are lighted and street lights have been added to add realizm. 3 lighted autos have been added to the layout. The lighting is controlled by a switch on the controller area in the lower right side of the layout.Also included are the following Locomotive and rolling stock:1 Marklin MiniClub 8800 BR89 006 with a brand new 5 pole motor and brushes.
