Description: ****DO NOT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS BY BUYING THIS SET AND THEN ASK ME TO CANCEL THE ORDER DUE TO BUYER’S REMORSE! I HAVE A NO RETURN POLICY!*** Yes, it’s true! This is an unused set! I purchased this set at an estate sale in Central Texas in 2020. The estate sale company opened the box to make sure it was really a set of primary mixing bowls. They dated them as one of the early sets produced in the 1940s or possibly the early 1950s. The owner of the estate sale company was told the set was given to the woman after she graduated college. She never married or moved out of her parents’ home, so they were never opened or used. I took out to photograph, but did not clean them in fear of screwing something up. I am not a huge Pyrex collector, but jumped at the chance to buy these. I pretty much bought them out of spite because another customer swiped all of the other Pyrex sets to sell in his booth at Cedar Chest Antique Mall in McGregor, TX (Joanna Gaines has referenced this place many times and visitors to the Gaines’ Silos often make a stop at this mall). Every single time an estate sale would show Pyrex in their preview photos, that man would be one of the first in line and would grab pretty much everything. I was one of the first in line that day to try to get a set of pink Gooseberry for a dear friend of mine who was turning 50. Unfortunately Mr. Greedy beat me to it, but you should’ve seen his face when I went up to him with this box and said, “Looks like you missed a set…” After he picked his jaw up from the ground, he offered to pay me a finder’s fee in which I happily declined. Seriously though, I am too scared to use or display this set and have decided to list it for sale. Yes, I am pricing it high. Why? Well, it’s a rare set and I feel the price is justified. Plus, I didn’t get it cheap. If you’ve ever gone to an estate sale, the first day is the most expensive day. I’m not sure how I will ship this set yet. I am contemplating wrapping and double boxing each bowl to assure safe transport. Of course I’ll include the original box. I know a true Pyrex collector will appreciate the effort I will go to. I’m in several Pyrex groups on social media and it’s so sad when other members post sad mail (broken during shipping). Here’s another thing, I will not approve the sale to a buyer who negative, zero or low feedback. Sorry, but since this set cannot be replaced, I will not risk someone receiving the set and make a claim against me. Of course, if you’re in the Nashville area, I would be happy to meet you in person at a mutual place.
