Description: Neoclassical Duncan Phyfe Mahogany Side Table, Curule Base Form, Drawer Product DescriptionHere is a very elegant antique Neoclassical Duncan Phyfe style mahogany side table. It includes a drawer with the original lock and key. The drawer was shaved on the sides to allow it to slide in and out easily. The solid mahogany top sits on a georgous curule form base with a turned stretcher connecting the curule legs featuring beautifully carved belle flowers on either side and a rosette in the center. The whole sits on the original brass casters. The apron is made of mahogany veneer which has some cracks. There is also an old repair in the top and cracks in the veneer along the sides (please see pictures for details). This a great quality table and is a real antique. It is solid, sturdy, and happens to be very heavy for its size. Please see pictures for details.
