Description: This is a slate of unknown specific origin or branding. I have had a few of these over the years and they have all come from Spain or Portugal but IDK if that is their specific origin. What does tie them together is very similar performance and when they do have a box they all have a very distinctive one held together with lots of nails. You can actually see a recently completed auction if you look where I sold another one I had that did have the box. Always quite wide in cut as well. This particular example is 6"x3 1/16"x25/32". Stone is lapped and chamfered on both sides. Some scuffs on the sides and some ends are rolled a bit more than others to delete chips but stone is in excellent condition. These are not Thuringian stones nor are they the usual French finishers I have plenty of experience with a huge array of natural stones. I probably wouldn't buy this if you already have a Thuringian as it would've redundant material unless you want it for the interest of it but it delivers a very capable shaving edge. I refreshed a swedish blade on this earlier on water with a speck of dish soap in it for a short time until the undercut got aggressive, stropped it and the razor shaved very well and I have a hard beard and sensitive skin. It's really not bad at all and I've spent more than I'm asking here for worse hones. Of course you may still make an offer if you wish. Thank you for looking.
