Description: "GOLDEN HOURS" by Maxfield Parrish Large period framed "Golden Hours" originally published in 1927 of which this is a reproduction. Overall framed size is 17 1/2" x 26" with actual print measured from back inside print area being 14" x 22" the actual size of an original 1927 print. Vintage period frame with typical blue inset and silvery grey distressed look is 2" wide. The reproduction print had rich deep colors, better than the original as with copies they try to over saturate the colors. Paper is weight of original, maybe a bit heavier and has a slightly glossy sheen when viewed at an angle as original is more mat with crisper image. Print is a bit wavy at bottom when viewed at an angle. Colors are dark but not as dark as they show up on my screen, so may vary with with screen? Of note, I did replace cardboard on back with a piece of black foam core which has an acid free surface but I would redo and seal with better archival supplies. If you don't want to pay several times as much, this is an impressive reproduction.
