Great Great Grandma Mary, may G-D bless her soul, has left us bereft this summer after suffering complications from Covid-19 and other issues. She lived for her family. Her foremost desire was to get her 8 children all together, all the time. This included the spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren and their spouses, and YES- the precious great great grandchildren. She was born an only child in an Egyptian castle. She grew up as a spoiled brat, but was lonely as she had no full brothers or sisters. She had step siblings from her parents previous marriages, but these siblings were at least 20 to 30 years older than her, and she hardly spoke to them or seen them even a few times. Despite her prosperous upbringing, she opted to find a good husband that was concerned more with family values and a good work ethic versus a comfortable life. She and her spouse had a difficult time, adjusting moving out of Egypt into an immigrant colony in Marseilles, France with her Husband, son and four daughters. Years later, they immigrated to the United States where they had three more children. When she established her frugal life style in New York, despite the financials, she provided for hundreds of people by feeding them and giving them lodging as needed, even in their very small abode. They made due with what the Lord provided them and shared everything they had with all of their heart. Grandma Mary suffered the loss of her beloved Husband and her oldest son at a young ages. Her younger sons established a decent business. They supported her lavishly throughout the last 25 years of her life. In turn, she would use all of the prosperous benefits to support legendary weekly and holiday gatherings for her huge family. She was famous for giving all her descendants very long blessings for long life, happiness, and prosperity and everything good in life. It literally took hours for the line of her issue to be blessed in turn. She left us with 221 descendants, including spouses. Even until the last moment of her demise, she kept a sharp acumen and remembered each and everyone of her descendants by name and face. This is a huge accomplishment, especially in these days and times. Grandma Mary, we love you - this is a bittersweet moment must say thank you for your kind mission. And to that beautiful, young girl living alone in that castle, she has witnessed her most precious desires. She returned to her maker, leaving love, happiness, hope and the strive to do better -with all of us.
