It was originally published in two parts, in 1872 and 1879. As described elsewhere,, it “…supplied a historical link to the gauchos' contribution to the national development of Argentina,” because they “…played a major role in Argentina's independence from Spain.” Condition of the book is “very good,” with only slight external wear.
