Description: Offered here is " London in Maps " by Philippa Glanville, published by The Connoisseur, Chestergate House in 1972. This hardcover book includes 69 maps including color plates to illustrate the evolving topography of London since Roman times. It has a green bookmark ribbon attached. This hardcover book is in Very Good condition. The book has yellow boards with gilt illustrations and titles along the cover and spine. The covers are clean and unmarked with no significant signs of wear, but for a few small faint stains on the back board. The book block is clean save for some scratching on the bottom block. The right front free endpaper has a 2-inch stain on it's bottom corner that does not affect any pages after; otherwise, the pages are all clean, unmarked, and tightly bound. This text comes included with its original unclipped dust jacket (15 GBP) which is in Good condition. The spine of the jacket is slightly sun faded. There are notable tears along the top and bottom of the covers (max < 1 inch), resulting in smaller areas of material loss and 3 pieces of tape on the interior of the dust jacket. Though the jacket has some small stains and scratches, it is overall clean and vivid. Please see accompanying photographs, which are of the actual item you will receive.
